Its raining as usual.  The weird thing is, it always rain every after lunch.  One way to spend time with this kind of weather is to eat some nice hot soup or a nice bowl of warm porridge.  I like our local version of porridge known as lugaw squeezed with calamansi to give that tangy flavor to this savory dish.  I never get tired of eating this compared with macaroni soup (sopas).

I found this recipe while scanning some food porn at Foodgawker and thought its really delicious and easy to do.  Guess what?  All ingredients are readily available and the plus point is, its really easy to do.  Just cream the butter and sugar and one by one pour everything.  Bake it and dip it in melted butter and rolled over to the cinnamon sugar mixture and you'll have this sweet lovely snack.  Paired it with a cup of unsweetened coffee and you'll have the perfect breakfast or afternoon snack.  I got the recipe from Baker Bettie with blog post entitled Baked Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donuts.  Click the link to see the original recipe.

Its been a while since I've posted a recipe on Saturday.  I've been busy with other stuff this past few Saturday.  Hopefully I could write regularly on weekends (fingers crossed).

Pasta, an easy dish you can whipped up under an hour.  It was almost a month or two since I cooked pasta in our home.  This pasta recipe is so easy and basically, you can throw everything in the pot after sauteing the garlic in olive oil.  You can add any meat you want but since I had so much pork and chicken this week, I decided to simply add canned tuna to the dish.

Sweet, soft, buttery and cheesy snack we Filipinos really enjoy is ensaymada.  I could still remember my childhood when my mom would buy this coiled bread with margarine and sugar spread on top from a local bakery.  Ensaymadas from most local bakeries or we call it panaderia has this slightly chewy bite smothered with margarine and sugar.  It comes in affordable price, normally under Php10.00 and paired it with a glass of juice or a small bottle of soft drink and we have a perfect afternoon snack.  (I know soft drink is unhealthy but as a child, well up to now but in moderation, I really enjoy it.)
