Tuyo (Dried Fish) Pan-Oven Grilled Pizza

If your remember, I made this Gourmet Tuyo version and as promised and as part of my Mom's Birthday Celebration, I'm making this Tuyo Pizza (Everyone is fasting on meat so this is another way to enjoy pizza.)

This version of pizza is yeast free and what I did was made the dough, grill it on a greased pan and top it with sauce and everything and pop it in the oven until the cheese melts.  Easy, just took me about 30 minutes to finish (well, an hour because I did photos for my blog).

Home-made Moist Chocolate Cake for My Mom's Birthday

It's my mom's Birthday today (March 28).  Who said we can't enjoy her birthday because its Holy Week?  No one can stop us from making this day special for our mom who is celebrating her 56th Birthday.  

When I woke up this morning (about 10 o'clock) my mom went to Antipolo Church for her birthday.  Well, I think she's having this Birthday Blues (as what my sister is telling).  Oh, speaking of my sister, I think she's sick.  She's doing the laundry!  (All our clothes!  She better take her medicine.)

Quest for Food For The Goods No. 1

Its been a while since I baked some dessert / snack.  Looking through my recipes of desserts and scanning my available ingredients what I can bake today is Food for the Gods.  Like what Ms. Lori told in her blog, the food of the gods is chocolates and searching through Google where Food for the Gods originates, the result is none (Well, maybe there is, but I'm too lazy to read all the million results Google gave me. )  All I know is that, Food for the Gods is a very delicious sweet treat  with its buttery and brown sugary flavor.  I want my FFTG (Food for the Gods) texture to be chewy but has this crispy and flaky top, bursting with sweet buttery flavor and the walnuts must maintain its crispiness.

Maple French Toast

It's 3:15 in the morning.  As always, I woke up early to cook for our packed lunch (My work starts at 7:00 in the morning).  I'm not in the mood to eat rice for breakfast today.  I think I ate too much rice the night before (I know this is a bad habit because its dinner but who cares, its pork ribs sinigang we're talking about).

Tofu Tuna Nachos

I love tofu.  Steamed, cooked in soup, fried or breaded, I just love it.  Finding new ways to enjoy tofu is fun.  This recipe is great for appetizer, snack or pulutan (a finger food usually paired with beer or alcoholic beverages in the Philippines).  Even non-tofu lover will enjoy eating this.  Also, this is perfect this Lenten Season, no meat allowed.

Aligue Pasta

What's your favorite part of the crab?  For me, my mom and dad, and maybe most of us, it's the aligue or the crab fat.  I remembered whenever my dad cooked crab, I would open the shell of the crabs just to find which of them has the more aligue and quickly dig my spoon to get it.  I know its's really high in cholesterol, but who cares, we seldom eat this.  Its not as if we are eating crab everyday.
